Choose a PIN: You'll be asked to choose a PIN for your device. The Trezor has a randomized layout on its display, and you'll need to click on the corresponding numbers on your computer screen to set your PIN. This ensures that your PIN remains secure even if your computer is compromised.
Write Down Your Recovery Seed: After setting up your PIN, your Trezor will display a 24-word recovery seed. Write down these words in the exact order they are shown on the screen. This seed is crucial for recovering your wallet if your Trezor is lost, stolen, or damaged. Store this seed in a safe place, preferably offline and away from prying eyes.
Confirm Your Recovery Seed: After writing down your recovery seed, you'll be asked to confirm it by entering a few of the words in a specific order. This step ensures that you've correctly recorded your seed.
Label Your Device: You'll have the option to label your device for easy identification if you have multiple Trezor devices.
Complete Setup: Once you've confirmed your recovery seed and labeled your device (if desired), the setup process is complete. Your Trezor is now ready to be used.
